In Georgetown, TX, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program at WCCHD is dedicated to promoting the health and nutrition of pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and young children. Our mission is to provide essential food assistance alongside comprehensive nutrition education that includes personalized assessments with Registered Dietitians or Nutritionists, engaging classes, and valuable breastfeeding support. We also offer healthy supplemental food packages, recipes, cooking demonstrations, and facilitate referrals to essential healthcare services, Medicaid, and SNAP. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our services to be delivered remotely via phone, ensuring continuous support for our community’s nutritional needs.
