Senior Box Program

The Senior Box Program in Galveston, TX, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to income-eligible seniors aged 60 and above through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) of the USDA, managed by the Texas Department of Agriculture. This vital initiative supports over 11,000 seniors in the Houston area by delivering nutritious meal boxes designed to meet the unique dietary needs of older adults. We strive to ensure that every eligible senior has access to emergency food resources; however, applicants may be placed on a waiting list if we exceed our monthly capacity. To apply, we invite seniors to visit Bethel's Heavenly Hands and inquire about Senior Box Day, providing basic information regarding age, income, and residency.
