Allyson (Ally) Schulz is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in serving children, teens, families, and young women. With a profound commitment to fostering healthy emotional development, creativity, self-esteem, and healing, Allyson provides comprehensive counseling services for children aged 3 and older, adolescents, and individual adults. Her approach is centered on creating a supportive atmosphere of warmth, safety, and acceptance, allowing her clients to collaborate effectively towards their goals of positive growth and overall wellness. Through this collaborative relationship, she aids her clients in challenging and transforming thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that hinder a fuller, more satisfying life. Allyson earned her Masters in Counseling from the University of North Texas, which boasts one of the leading counseling programs in Texas and the world-renowned Play Therapy program. Privileged to have studied and interned under distinguished leaders in play therapy and the filial field, she has continually honed her expertise. Her specialties include Play Therapy, particularly with children ages 3-7, expressive art therapy for pre-teen and teen girls, and the incorporation of animal-assisted therapy through her registered therapy dog. Allyson is available for sessions on multiple weekdays and Saturdays, with sliding scale rates for those who may qualify.
