Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) in Frisco, TX, is dedicated to empowering veterans through agriculture and community engagement. Founded by two Iraq War veterans, F.A.R.M. understands the challenges of reintegration and offers a supportive environment where veterans can find purpose and camaraderie while cultivating the land. Our innovative program invites veterans facing issues like suicidal ideations, homelessness, or chemical dependency to connect with their peers and engage in hands-on farm activities, including caring for crops and livestock. Through our agricultural internship program, Future Farmer Trainees can receive stipends, mentorship, and the opportunity for shared housing, all aimed at fostering a successful transition into civilian life. Although our current internship enrollment is closed while we expand our farms, we encourage veterans to reach out for updates and participate in our events and services. Regardless of military discharge status, all veterans are warmly welcomed to be part of our community, learn valuable farming skills, and gain essential certifications that support their future in agriculture. We also assist veterans in accessing treatment resources as needed, helping them on their journey to wellness and stability. Join us at F.A.R.M. to discover a new path rooted in purpose and community.
