Jill Kolstad, MEd, is an experienced educational diagnostician dedicated to working with individuals from preschool age to adults, with a special focus on school issues, education, and learning disabilities. With over 40 years in the field, Jill has an extensive background as a Special Education teacher, having taught Pre-K to 6th grade for 15 years, and as a preschool teacher for ages 2-5 for 10 years. For the past 5 years, she has also served as a Developmental Reading Instructor at Tarrant County College. Jill's expertise lies in assessing and addressing cognitive (IQ), learning, attention, and behavioral deficits, allowing her to effectively develop individualized education plans (IEPs) or 504 Accommodation Plans for her clients. She conducts thorough evaluations for a range of challenges, including cognitive and learning disabilities, dyslexia, attention issues, and memory or processing difficulties, and provides comprehensive reports that highlight strengths and areas for improvement. Jill views her practice as putting together a complex puzzle, meticulously discovering each client's unique missing pieces and celebrating as they find their places. Having personal experience with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADD/ADHD, which she learned about later in life, Jill understands the struggles many face within the education system. She is passionate about helping clients and their families dream peacefully without the anxiety of past educational challenges.
