Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) in Fort Worth, TX is dedicated to supporting veterans through agricultural initiatives that promote healing, camaraderie, and purpose. Founded by two Iraq War veterans, F.A.R.M. operates multiple farms where veterans can engage in farming, care for livestock, and connect with fellow service members, creating a restorative environment for those facing challenges like suicidal ideations, homelessness, or substance dependency. Our programs offer peer-to-peer training, aiming to equip veterans with the skills necessary for successful reintegration into civilian life. While the agricultural internship program is temporarily closed as we expand our farm locations, we encourage veterans to reach out for future opportunities. Our internship provides stipends, shared housing, and valuable mentorship, along with the chance to gain farming experience needed for future financial endeavors. At the conclusion of the program, participants not only receive a certificate of completion but also access to ongoing employment opportunities at our downtown urban farm and partnering locations. We welcome all veterans, regardless of discharge status, to contribute, learn, and grow with us.
