Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Flower Mound, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of women, infants, and children who are at risk of nutrition-related issues. Our mission focuses on providing essential nutritional education, empowering mothers with knowledge on proper nutrition for their children and themselves during pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding. Through individualized nutrition counseling and group classes, we support clients in making informed dietary choices. WIC also offers critical breastfeeding support, including free breast pumps and guidance on breastfeeding techniques, making it easier for new mothers to nourish their babies. Each month, participants receive benefits to purchase nutritious foods, such as iron-fortified infant formula, whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables, tailored to individual needs. We help connect clients with additional health and social services, ensuring comprehensive care for families. Eligibility extends to pregnant women, postpartum women, and caregivers of children under five, with a focus on those living with incomes at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level. WIC invites all eligible families in Flower Mound to visit our clinic and take the first step toward better health and nutrition for themselves and their children.
