Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) in Euless, TX, is dedicated to supporting veterans in their transition to civilian life through the nurturing practice of agriculture. Founded by two Iraq War veterans, F.A.R.M. offers a unique opportunity for veterans facing challenges such as suicidal thoughts, homelessness, and chemical dependency to engage with the land and foster connection with fellow service members. Participants can take part in hands-on farming experiences, tending to a variety of animals and crops, while benefiting from a peer-to-peer mentorship environment. Through our Future Farmer Trainee program, veterans may receive a monthly stipend for their commitment, alongside shared housing options for select interns. While the current internship enrollment is closed as we expand our farms, we encourage veterans to reach out for future opportunities. Military discharge status is not a barrier to participation in our programs or community events; we welcome all who have served. At the completion of our program, veterans will earn a certificate recognizing their farming experience, applicable for farming loans, and can pursue full-time training positions on our urban farm or partner locations. F.A.R.M. is committed to helping veterans find purpose and community through agriculture, empowering them to thrive and reintegrate successfully into society.
