Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Edinburg, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of vulnerable populations, including infants, children, and pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women at risk of nutrition-related issues. Our mission is to empower families through comprehensive nutrition education, individualized counseling, and support services. We offer essential breastfeeding support, including free breast pumps, and provide access to nutritious foods such as iron-fortified infant formula, fresh fruits, and dairy products. WIC also connects clients to vital health and social services, ensuring they have the resources needed for a healthy start. Eligibility includes pregnant and postpartum women, as well as parents or guardians of children under five, with a focus on those whose household income falls at or below 185% of the federal poverty level. We encourage eligible families to visit our clinic in person to apply and learn how WIC can support their nutritional needs.
