The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Eagle Pass, TX, empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a more just and sustainable food system. Through a rigorous program that combines hands-on training and community engagement, Fellows receive comprehensive education on organic food systems, enabling them to teach and implement initiatives that promote social, environmental, and economic equity. Over six immersive months at our farm, participants will cultivate diversified crops, organize educational sessions on health care innovation, and maintain community gardens, all while focusing on enhancing food literacy within classrooms and communities. By the end of their fellowship, they will contribute to local farmers markets and work with non-profit partners to enhance access to healthy foods. With no tuition fees, we strive to make this transformative experience accessible to all aspiring leaders in food justice. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship commencing in May and concluding in October.
