Melodi Parker, a Licensed Professional Counselor (MEd, LPC-S, NCC), believes that feelings of despair and insecurity can profoundly impact an individual's daily life. She is dedicated to guiding clients toward comfort and hope from within, helping them achieve happiness and satisfaction. As a compassionate therapist, Melodi enjoys providing insight and awareness through spiritual counseling and fostering a safe environment to explore feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. Together with her clients, she establishes and achieves therapeutic goals. Melodi's approach includes Adlerian Therapy, which emphasizes understanding unique inner beliefs to enhance self-awareness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, focused on changing irrational thought patterns. Specializing in trauma and grief, she also assists individuals dealing with depression, anger, and anxiety, along with offering parental consultation. With a rich background that includes over 10 years as a School Counselor and Teacher, Melodi is a National Certified Counselor with training in EMDR and Brainspotting Phase 1 & 2 to help those who have experienced trauma. Additionally, she serves as an Adult Mental Health First Aid Trainer and volunteers for Trauma Support Services of North Texas. Melodi encourages all her clients to embrace each day as a fresh start, reminding them that they don't have to carry yesterday's broken pieces into today.
