Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Denton, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children at risk for nutrition-related concerns. Our mission is to empower families with essential knowledge about proper nutrition and provide vital resources to ensure healthy development. WIC offers personalized nutrition education, group classes, and invaluable breastfeeding support, including access to breast pumps for nursing mothers. Families receive monthly benefits that can be used to purchase nutritious foods such as iron-fortified formula, cereals, dairy products, and a variety of fruits and vegetables. Eligibility extends to pregnant women, new mothers, and guardians of children under five from households meeting specific income guidelines. At WIC, we collaborate with local health and social services to create a supportive environment for every family. To apply, clients are welcome to visit us in person after scheduling an appointment, as we strive to make healthy choices accessible for everyone in our community.
