Kate Miller

Kate Miller is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (MA, ThM, LPC) dedicated to supporting children and families through life's challenges. She understands that childhood can present significant hurdles, including difficult transitions, feelings of loss, and even traumatic experiences. With a keen focus on expressive arts, play therapy, and family systems, Kate provides a safe environment where children can process their emotions in a manner that resonates with their unique perspectives. By facilitating the process of healing through play therapy and empowering parents to support their children at home, Kate helps children regain their sense of safety and thrive in their own worlds. Joining the East Dallas Psychotherapy team, she brings a wealth of experience working with diverse clients from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, addressing attachment issues, trauma, and behavioral challenges in children. Additionally, she has a background in supporting families with special needs, especially those navigating physical disabilities. Kate also offers counseling grounded in a Christian worldview if requested by clients.
