Jeff Courtman is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years of experience in helping teens and adults navigate through life's challenges. He understands that something may be bothering individuals, whether it's a persistent feeling or a newly surfaced issue. Often, the struggle against pain, trauma, or relationship issues can leave one feeling disoriented and detached from essential aspects of life and identity. Jeff's approach is psychodynamic and relational, emphasizing that everyone harbors islands of trauma, regardless of their size. He believes in the capacity for healing every wound in the present moment. When words feel insufficient, he utilizes effective modalities such as EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Sandplay therapy to facilitate healing. Within a safe, confidential, and judgment-free environment, clients are encouraged to openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The only real risk lies in doing nothing, as that leads to no change at all.
