Richard Reitmann, LPC-Associate, supervised by Jinnelle V. Powell, LPC-S, understands that every individual, marriage, and family carries a unique story filled with challenges and obstacles. He recognizes that navigating these difficulties can lead to frustration and unwanted stress, which makes seeking support essential. Richard is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can work through life's hurdles and cultivate meaningful, lasting relationships. With valuable experience in both hospital and clinical settings, he has worked alongside individuals facing mood and personality disorders, suicidal ideation, marriage and couples issues, and a wide range of other concerns impacting both adolescents and adults. Richard employs a variety of counseling approaches tailored to each individual's needs, focusing primarily on Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Systems Therapy. He is also Gottman Level I certified, using this evidence-based method when working with couples. His previous role as Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries at First United Methodist Church-Corpus Christi and his work with Laity Lodge Family Camp further enhance his ability to connect deeply with clients, meeting them exactly where they are in their journey. Richard is passionate about supporting individuals through their healing and growth process, offering hope and guidance along the way.
