Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in College Station, TX, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just food system through hands-on education and real-world experience. This fellowship not only promotes the principles of social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems but also provides a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in immersive training at the Allegheny Farm, where they will learn about organic agriculture, community engagement, and ecological literacy. Throughout their six-month residency, Fellows gain practical experience in growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining school and community gardens, and supporting local farmers markets, which enhances access to healthy foods in the region. Following their training, participants enter a Community Action Year where they collaborate with regional non-profits to apply their skills and knowledge for meaningful impact. The program is tuition-free, ensuring greater accessibility for all passionate individuals committed to advancing food justice.
