Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Cleburne, TX is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children at risk for nutrition-related challenges. Our mission is to empower families through tailored education on proper nutrition, providing individual counseling and engaging group classes that cater to both parents and children. WIC also offers vital breastfeeding support, including educational resources and free breast pumps to encourage successful feeding. Participants receive monthly benefits to purchase nutritious foods such as iron-fortified infant formula, cereals, dairy products, and fruits and vegetables. We strive to connect families with essential health and social services, ensuring comprehensive care. Eligible individuals include pregnant women, mothers with infants under one year, and guardians of children under five, with an income threshold at 185 percent of the federal poverty level. We invite families to join our program by applying in person; appointments can be made by phone. Together, we can build healthier futures in our community.
