Ebony May

Ebony May is a compassionate licensed professional counselor (MA, LPC, NCC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of life’s challenges. She understands that many people may find their feelings overwhelming, making it difficult to function as they once did. With empathy, she recognizes that rapid changes can leave individuals feeling as though they are drowning, especially in the face of loss—whether through connection, distance, or death. Ebony provides a safe space where clients can be heard without judgment, offering support to those experiencing symptoms related to trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, eating disorders, life transitions, depression, anxiety, panic, and emotional or behavioral regulation. Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities including Trauma-Focused & Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psycho-education, and Motivational Interviewing, she empowers clients to cope with and overcome mental and emotional roadblocks. Ebony reassures her clients that their experiences do not define them; rather, they are normal individuals responding to abnormal circumstances. By teaching regulatory skills and fostering resilience, she equips her clients with lifelong tools to navigate their emotional landscape. Through her guidance, individuals can learn to harness their instinctual defenses in a healthy way, ultimately leading to personal growth and healing.
