Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Cedar Hill, TX, is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant women, new mothers, and young children at risk for nutrition-related issues. Our mission is to empower families through education on proper nutrition tailored for infants and children. Participants benefit from personalized nutrition counseling and a variety of informative classes, including sessions specifically designed for children and engaging support for fathers. WIC also provides essential breastfeeding support, from expert guidance to complimentary breast pumps, ensuring that mothers receive the resources they need for successful breastfeeding. Each month, WIC issues specific food benefits that help families access nutritious options such as iron-fortified infant formula, whole grain cereals, fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, and more—ensuring that children receive the foundational nutrition they need. Additionally, we connect families to vital health and social services. WIC welcomes pregnant women, postpartum mothers, and guardians of children under five who meet our income guidelines, which are set at 185 percent of the federal poverty level.
