Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) in Carrollton, TX, is dedicated to empowering veterans through agricultural training and community connection. Founded by two Iraq War veterans, this innovative organization offers a nurturing environment where veterans can cultivate the land, raise livestock, and build essential skills while forming strong bonds with fellow service members. Recognizing the challenges of reintegration into civilian life, F.A.R.M. targets veterans dealing with issues such as homelessness and emotional distress by providing hands-on experience and mentorship in sustainable farming practices. Although our internship programs are currently on hold as we expand our farm locations, we invite all veterans to engage in our activities, attend events, and prepare for future opportunities. Our Future Farmer Trainees may receive stipends and access shared housing, alongside vital resources to support their journey toward stability and success in agriculture. We believe that every veteran merits the chance to explore new paths, gain meaningful experience, and achieve personal fulfillment through farming.
