Michele Nelon, MS, LPC, is a dedicated counselor who understands that relationships often require practice and new strategies for interaction, including the crucial relationship one has with oneself. She creates a safe and supportive environment for clients to delve into their reactions, thoughts, and feelings about their relationships with others and themselves. With several years of experience in private practice, Michele is passionate about assisting individuals facing challenges such as addiction, anxiety, Bi-Polar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, depression, grief, Post-Traumatic Stress, relationship distress, and Schizophrenia. She has achieved Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, providing thorough assessments and implementing research-based interventions that nurture couple relationships. As a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with advanced certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and crisis intervention, Michele brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. Much of her counseling philosophy is influenced by her Christian faith and the belief that everyone deserves love and dignity, regardless of age, disability, gender, race, or sexual orientation.
