Ana Lehrhaupt

Ana Lehrhaupt is a bilingual (English/Spanish) psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience dedicated to assisting individuals, couples, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and adjustment issues. She understands the significance of identifying underlying causes to promote lasting change and is committed to guiding her clients in a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment. With a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston and extensive clinical experience, she tailors her clinical interventions to meet each client's unique needs, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities including family/marital therapy and emotionally focused techniques. Ana's academic journey includes seven years of post-graduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy following her Licentiate in Psychology degree in Uruguay, as well as a Master's in Latin American Studies with a focus in cultural anthropology and migration from the University of Texas at Austin. Her decade-long private practice in Uruguay and her role as a university educator greatly contribute to her skill set. Inspired by her personal experiences of living and working across multiple countries, Ana founded 'I Wish Everybody Knew®,' a program aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of immigrants in Houston, reflecting her passion for helping those navigating the emotional complexities of migration and cultural transitions.
