Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC)

The Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) in Beaumont, TX is dedicated to enhancing the health and nutrition of pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to age five who are at risk for nutrition-related issues. Our mission focuses on providing vital education about proper nutrition tailored specifically for mothers and their young ones. Through our program, participants benefit from individual nutrition counseling, engaging nutrition classes, and invaluable breastfeeding support, including free breast pumps. Additionally, WIC empowers families by supplying monthly benefits for wholesome foods such as iron-fortified infant formula, nutritious cereals, fruits, vegetables, milk, eggs, and more, ensuring children receive the nutrients essential for their development. We also facilitate referrals to local health and social services to further assist families. Eligibility is open to pregnant women, new mothers, and guardians of young children, with a focus on those in households earning at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level. To join our program, clients must apply in person and are encouraged to schedule an appointment through our local office in Beaumont, Texas.
