The Groceries to Go Program in Austin, TX, is dedicated to providing essential grocery shopping assistance to seniors who require support. Our service connects caring volunteers with older adults who can prepare their meals but lack consistent help with grocery shopping. Whether clients can move independently or need mobility assistance, our volunteers are here to help. For active seniors, we provide guidance in creating shopping lists and transportation to the store, ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience. For those with mobility challenges, our volunteers take on the responsibility of picking up grocery lists, handling payments, and shopping on their behalf. Additionally, we can assist with prescription pickups if needed. We are committed to fostering independence and ensuring our seniors have access to the groceries they need. Please note that while we are currently not accepting new clients due to COVID-19, our existing clients continue to receive service with modified delivery protocols to prioritize health and safety.
