Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) in Arlington, TX, is dedicated to providing support for veterans through agriculture. Founded by two Iraq War veterans, our organization creates a nurturing environment where veterans can grow vegetables and raise livestock while forming vital connections with fellow service members. We understand the challenges of reintegration, including dealing with suicidal ideations, homelessness, and chemical dependency, and offer a peer-to-peer training program that empowers veterans to cultivate their own farming skills. Participants can engage in meaningful work on our farms, gain practical experience, and benefit from mentorship. While our internship programs are currently closed as we expand farm locations, we encourage veterans to reach out for future opportunities. Our initiative not only helps veterans find purpose but also equips them with the knowledge and resources to step into the agricultural sector, earning a certificate of completion that can support their farming career aspirations. We believe that every veteran, regardless of military discharge status, deserves a chance to thrive in civilian life. F.A.R.M. proudly assists with treatment pathways for chemical dependency and connects veterans with the VA and other resources. Join us to grow, connect, and heal together.
