Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Amarillo, TX is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just food system through comprehensive education and hands-on experience. This program offers a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in organic food system education, empowering them to implement innovative solutions such as diversified crop production, community gardens, and health-focused educational sessions. With a commitment to accessibility, AMI charges no tuition, allowing Fellows to focus on impactful projects that enhance food equity. Throughout their six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm, participants develop vital skills in food and ecological literacy and gain practical experience by collaborating with regional non-profit organizations during their Community Action Year. By fostering mentorship and community engagement, this Fellowship aims to transform local food systems and support initiatives that enhance access to healthy foods in the region.
