Thomas Hoyt, LPC Intern, MS, LPC-I, welcomes new clients into a nurturing and supportive environment. He understands that one can feel utterly alone, even in a crowded room, and knows the challenges that come with feeling misunderstood or judged for one's struggles. Thomas believes that many individuals strive to prove their worth through achievement or by caring for others, often losing sight of their true selves and desires. He offers a space where individuals can be genuinely seen, heard, and accepted, regardless of their current circumstances. His work as a counselor begins by creating a safe atmosphere, unencumbered by the expectations of life, where clients are welcomed with open arms. During sessions, Thomas seeks to understand what it feels like to walk in his clients' shoes and to see through their eyes. He is dedicated to helping individuals identify and leverage their inherent strengths, fostering insight and bravery to inspire meaningful change in their lives. Thomas emphasizes that courage is not the absence of fear, but rather taking action despite it. He recognizes that reaching out to a counselor is a courageous step, often filled with apprehension, and he admires the inner strength and resilience demonstrated by those who take this leap.
