Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) in Allen, TX, is dedicated to empowering veterans through agriculture, fostering community, and nurturing a renewed sense of purpose. Founded by two Iraq War veterans, F.A.R.M. provides a supportive environment where military service members can engage in meaningful work on our farms, cultivating crops and caring for farm animals while connecting with fellow veterans. Our programs focus on those facing challenges like suicidal ideations, homelessness, and chemical dependency, offering peer-to-peer training that promotes healing through shared experiences and teamwork. While our agricultural internship program, Future Farmer Trainees, is currently paused due to the expansion of our farm locations, we welcome veterans to participate in our activities and stay connected for future opportunities. With initiatives designed to assist veterans in gaining valuable farming skills, including mentorship, stipends, and assistance through the VA for those seeking treatment for dependency, F.A.R.M. aims to support a successful transition back to civilian life. Participants will earn certificates recognizing their farming experience and can explore full-time opportunities at our urban farm or partner farms. Joining our community means becoming part of a compassionate network that stands ready to help every veteran thrive on their journey toward recovery and reintegration.
