The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Sweetwater, TN, is dedicated to fostering healthy eating habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide essential nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to health care services, ensuring that families receive the support they need. We also contribute to the WIC Farmer's Market Nutrition Program, which offers fresh, locally grown produce to participants in several counties including Coffee, Hickman, and Knox. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our services to be accessible by phone, while expanding the range of food choices available through WIC funds. Our commitment is to enhance the well-being of families in our community, one healthy meal at a time.
