Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in Paris, TN, is dedicated to fostering healthy food habits among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children from birth to five years old. Our mission is supported through comprehensive services including nutrition education, supplemental food provisions, and dedicated breastfeeding promotion and support. We also facilitate referrals for healthcare to ensure holistic well-being. Engaging with our community, we participate in the WIC Farmer's Market Nutrition Program, providing participants with access to fresh, locally sourced fruits and vegetables across several counties, including Coffee, Hickman, Knox, Lincoln, Madison, Maury, Moore, Rutherford, and Sullivan. As we adapt to the challenges posed by COVID-19, our services are conducted by phone, ensuring that our participants continue to receive vital assistance. We are continuously working to enhance food options and broaden the range of products available for purchase with WIC benefits, empowering families to make healthier choices.
