In Mountain City, TN, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program is dedicated to fostering healthy nutritional choices among low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our services include vital nutrition education, supplemental food support, breastfeeding promotion, and healthcare referrals, all aimed at ensuring the wellbeing of the families we serve. We are also proud participants in the WIC Farmer's Market Nutrition Program, connecting families with fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables across several counties, including Coffee, Hickman, Knox, Lincoln, Madison, Maury, Moore, Rutherford, and Sullivan. Although our services are currently being conducted by phone due to COVID-19, we continue to expand the variety of food options available to participants, enhancing their access to nutritious foods.
