The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Johnson City, TN, is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to provide essential nutrition education, supplemental foods, and dedicated breastfeeding promotion and support to empower families. We also connect participants with vital health care referrals. In addition to these core services, WIC proudly supports the Farmer's Market Nutrition Program, ensuring access to fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables in Johnson City and surrounding counties including Coffee, Hickman, Knox, Lincoln, Madison, Maury, Moore, Rutherford, and Sullivan. During COVID-19, we are conducting services via phone to prioritize health and safety, while expanding food options and product varieties for our participants.
