The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program in Humboldt, TN, is dedicated to fostering the health and well-being of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to empower families through essential services that include nutrition education, supplemental food provisions, and breastfeeding promotion and support. We also connect participants to vital healthcare resources. Engaging with our local community, WIC is proud to be part of the Farmer's Market Nutrition Program, ensuring that families receive fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables across various counties including Coffee, Hickman, Knox, Lincoln, Madison, Maury, Moore, Rutherford, and Sullivan. In response to the challenges posed by COVID-19, we are offering services by phone, and we have expanded the selection of food items available to our participants. By providing these vital resources, we strive to improve the dietary health of families in our community.
