Located in Covington, TN, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, offered by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. This fellowship provides a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus, receiving comprehensive education in organic food systems, community gardening, and ecological literacy. Participants will work alongside regional non-profits to grow and distribute diverse crops, educate communities about health and nutrition, and promote access to fresh, local food through initiatives like farmers markets. With no tuition fees, we strive to ensure that the fellowship is accessible to all passionate about strengthening our agricultural landscape. The program typically runs from May to October each year, with applications due in March, inviting those dedicated to making a meaningful impact in food assistance and community resilience.
