Debra Doubrava

Debra Doubrava, a licensed professional counselor with a PhD, has dedicated over 30 years to helping clients of all ages and backgrounds lead more authentic, joyful, and balanced lives. She embodies the wisdom of John Watson's words: "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” As an integrative, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed therapist, she is inspired by humanistic, mindfulness, family systems, Imago, and client-centered philosophies. Debra is experienced in addressing a wide array of issues, including those specific to the LGBTQ+ community, recognizing that everyone seeks comfort, joy, kindness, acceptance, and love for themselves and others. As a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S), she adeptly employs play therapy and sandtray techniques with clients of all ages. Additionally, as a Level II EMDR trained clinician and breast cancer survivor, she understands the unique challenges her clients face and is equipped to support them through their personal journeys. Debra has embraced TeleMental Health Services to ensure care can be provided safely during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, addressing the needs of her clients without the stress of waiting lists.
