Barbara Faracchio

Barbara Faracchio is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor based in NJ and PA, also holding the title of Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor in NJ. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Temple University and completed her master's degree in Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Chestnut Hill College. With a warm and encouraging demeanor, Barbara believes in the power of collaboration in therapy. Her extensive experience includes working with adults in early and long-term recovery, providing trauma-informed counseling to survivors of childhood sexual abuse, physical and emotional abuse, mental health challenges, and neglect. Understanding that our upbringing shapes present interactions, she emphasizes the importance of addressing past traumas to foster healthier relationships today. Barbara is skilled in addressing a wide range of concerns, including issues related to adult children of alcoholics, co-dependency, communication and intimacy in individual and couples counseling, compassion fatigue among healthcare and animal care professionals, as well as depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship conflicts. Her diverse therapeutic modalities encompass Compassion Focused, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and more, ensuring each client receives personalized care tailored to their unique journey.
