Dorothy Day Center

Located in West Chester, PA, the Dorothy Day Center is dedicated to providing essential support and food assistance to families and individuals experiencing hardship. We offer daily meals, including light breakfasts and hot lunches, as well as groceries to help nourish those in need. Our comprehensive services extend beyond food, encompassing clothing for men, women, and children, as well as diapers and formula for families with young children. We also provide basic nursing services, health and wellness education, and referrals to ensure our community's overall well-being. For those who are unable to visit us, our outreach efforts ensure that assistance is accessible, including bilingual outreach services. Additionally, we empower families with life skills training and job search assistance to promote self-sufficiency and resilience.
