Early Head Start

Early Head Start in Scranton, PA, is dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of pregnant women, infants, and toddlers through a comprehensive Early Education and Child Development program. Our mission focuses on providing vital early learning experiences, health and development screenings, and extensive family support tailored to meet the diverse needs of families from pregnancy until a child's third birthday. We offer a variety of service options, including Center-Based services that enrich children's education in a structured setting while also incorporating home visits to strengthen family engagement. Our Home-Based services facilitate weekly visits from trained staff, fostering child development and empowering parents through group activities focused on learning and social connection. Additionally, our Combination services integrate both home and center-based approaches, addressing critical areas such as nutrition, health and safety, mental health, pregnancy support, and child development.
