Direct Distribution in Scranton, PA, is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity by providing emergency food assistance to families in need. Our food pantry operates with compassion, offering groceries to eligible households once every thirty days, allowing for up to twelve visits per year. During the summer months, we understand the increased challenges families face and therefore, distribute additional food to ensure that children receive the nutrition they require when school is not in session. Our well-stocked pantry includes essential items like fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, proteins, and dry goods, all aimed at meeting basic nutritional needs. New clients seeking food assistance are warmly welcomed to visit us on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM for their initial distribution, ensuring that everyone receives the support they need during difficult times.
