Food Pantry

The Jewish Federation of Reading (JFR) is dedicated to combating hunger in Reading, PA, through our monthly food assistance programs. We operate two food pantries, ensuring that families in need receive essential groceries to support their nutritional needs. Our Reading location distributes emergency food on the first Wednesday of each month, while our Temple location serves the community on the second Tuesday. In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted our services to operate on a drive-through basis, prioritizing the health and safety of those we serve. By providing critical access to nutritious food, we aim to alleviate food insecurity and support our local families with compassion and care.
