John Impavido

John Impavido is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, committed to guiding adults and elders through their most challenging times. He obtained his Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Counselor Education and his Bachelor's Degree in Bible and Theology from Toccoa Falls College, complemented by minors in Pastoral Ministries and Christian Education. Since 1985, Mr. Impavido has been at the forefront of treating sexual and pornography addiction, playing a crucial role in the establishment of Sexaholics Anonymous and Every Man's Battle meetings in the Greater Pittsburgh area. With extensive experience in drug and alcohol treatment, he has contributed significantly to detox units and outpatient clinics, notably at St. Francis Medical Center. He was instrumental in founding the Living Sober Rehab Center for Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC) and has served as Program Director for their inpatient Dual Diagnosis Unit. His approach is eclectic, encompassing Couples, Individuals, and Group therapies, as well as marriage counseling and Christian Counseling. Mr. Impavido is dedicated to providing support for a range of issues, including mood disorders, depression and anxiety, bipolar disorders, and obsessive/compulsive disorder (OCD) treatment. Additionally, he is skilled in motivating clients who are undergoing suboxone therapy, demonstrating a holistic approach to mental health and well-being.
