Janelle Maloch

Dr. Janelle Maloch is a compassionate psychologist with a M.S.Ed. and PhD, specializing in assisting women and queer-identified individuals facing relationship concerns, whether with others or themselves. Her areas of expertise include challenges related to sexuality, intimacy, trust, trauma impacts, relationship endings, and self-worth. Clients working with Dr. Maloch often experience a significant increase in their ability to communicate their needs within relationships, along with a deeper sense of empowerment and understanding of their own emotions.

Dr. Maloch believes that effective therapy requires an awareness of both her and her clients' intersecting cultural identities. As a LGBTQ+ affirming and sex-positive therapist, she prioritizes the formation of safe, trusting, and collaborative therapeutic relationships that are authentic, warm, and wholehearted. Her integrative approach draws from interpersonal, feminist, multicultural, relational-cultural, trauma-informed, and emotionally focused theories.

With extensive experience in university counseling centers, as well as community outpatient clinics and women’s and LGBTQ+ centers, Dr. Maloch is dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey to self-discovery and emotional well-being.
