Gene-leigh Ziegler

Gene-leigh Ziegler is a licensed professional counselor (MS, LPC) who understands the challenges faced by individuals who feel misunderstood and overwhelmed in today’s social and political climate. Many people experience feelings of isolation and the difficulty in trusting others, making the decision to pursue therapy a daunting process. Gene-leigh recognizes that individuals may feel disconnected from themselves and burdened by shame, while also grappling with the belief that they lack time for therapy. Yet, there is a desire for a sense of grounding, balance, and resilience. With personal and professional experiences as a Black American, Gene-leigh brings a deep level of insight and empathy to the multi-faceted complexities of life, fostering a healing space that is warm and welcoming, especially for those with multiple marginalized identities. Specializing in race-based trauma, Gene-leigh employs a culture-centered lens and is a culturally affirming therapist who embraces the LGBTQIA+ community and relationship minorities. Clients can expect a nonjudgmental environment where true healing can flourish.
