Carlos Eduardo Golfetto is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor, PhD, LPC, CST, who is honored to support individuals at various stages of life, from preteens to elders. He understands the difficult journey of seeking therapy and is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for clients to explore their internal conflicts, interpersonal issues, and traumas that may hinder them from experiencing a fulfilling life. With nearly 15 years of experience as a mental health counselor, Carlos brings a wealth of skills and passion to establish meaningful therapeutic relationships. He encourages clients to cultivate self-awareness and strives for holistic wellness in biological, psychological, relational, sexual, and spiritual dimensions. His theoretical orientation is grounded in humanistic theories with an emphasis on existentialism and phenomenological philosophies. Carlos firmly believes in the power of the therapeutic alliance and approaches every situation through a sex-positive, non-shaming, and non-judgmental lens. As a certified sex therapist and EMDR practitioner, he specializes in trauma, sexual trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and mood and personality disorders, holding additional certifications in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Carlos collaborates with clients in a supportive and nonjudgmental manner to help them navigate their therapeutic journey.
