Randy Rex, MSW, LCSW, is a clinical social worker and therapist dedicated to helping individuals, families, teens, adults, and elders navigate the complexities of anxiety and stress that can stem from relationships, work, medical issues, and existential crises. These challenges can feel overwhelming, leading to compromised communication, diminished self-esteem, and disrupted emotional well-being. Through collaborative effort, Randy supports his clients in addressing the tough aspects of their lives, managing environmental and bodily stressors, and cultivating strategies to break free from unhelpful thought and behavior patterns. His goal is to facilitate relief, happiness, and personal growth. With extensive experience assisting those struggling with depression, phobias, addiction, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and many other challenges, Randy recognizes that anxiety often serves as a core component of these issues. Since 2001, he has practiced meditation daily and currently runs a secular meditation group in the Wilmington area. Randy has a rich background in applying mindfulness-based approaches, having contributed to a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation center and trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Jon Kabat-Zinn, a leading figure in contemporary mindfulness.
