Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels in Norristown, PA is dedicated to ensuring that our homebound neighbors receive nutritious meals that enable them to stay in their homes longer. Our program provides hot meals for lunch and optional cold meals for dinner, delivered by trained community volunteers who also check in on the well-being of each recipient. Tailored to meet the dietary needs of older adults, our meals are crafted by professional caterers under the guidance of a registered dietitian. We welcome individuals aged 60 and above who may struggle with meal preparation or grocery shopping, with no income restrictions to access our services. A suggested anonymous donation of $2 per meal helps cover costs, but no one is turned away for inability to pay. We also offer emergency 'snow packs' for times when deliveries might be disrupted due to inclement weather, ensuring our clients remain nourished and cared for at all times. Serving the Upper Perkiomen Valley, our meals and support are administered by The Center at The Open Link, wherein eligibility is purely based on need.
