In Service of Seniors, located in New Kensington, PA, is dedicated to enhancing the independence and quality of life for older adults in Allegheny County. As part of Wesley Family Services, we provide a range of volunteer-driven practical and social supports tailored to the unique needs of seniors. Our mission is to ensure that seniors have access to essential services that promote their well-being. We offer grocery shopping assistance, food pantry delivery, transportation to medical appointments, friendly visits, help with reading mail, and home safety inspections to identify and mitigate hazards like fires and falls. Our team is committed to facilitating independence, while understanding that the availability of in-home services may fluctuate based on community health conditions. To receive assistance, seniors are encouraged to complete our screening form, which helps us connect them with the most appropriate services available. Although our volunteers cannot provide cleaning, personal care, or other specific tasks, our focus remains on empowering seniors to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
