Barbara Loftus

Barbara Loftus (she/her/hers) is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Nurse based in Pennsylvania. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University, she brings a wealth of experience from her years as an emergency nurse specializing in trauma. Following this, Barbara pursued her Master of Arts in Counseling from Biblical Seminary, which propelled her into over a decade of focused work with emotional trauma, PTSD, and sexual abuse across various age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. Her practice is marked by an appreciation for both the art and science of therapy, employing an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to the needs of individuals and families. She skillfully integrates narrative and expressive therapeutic techniques, trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and places great importance on fostering a safe, collaborative relationship with her clients. By utilizing expressive arts, sandtray, and body-focused work, Barbara assists clients in processing significant life events and channeling that energy towards healing and growth. Her philosophy recognizes that life inevitably includes stress, turmoil, and trauma, and she dedicates herself to guiding her clients in discovering harmony and meaning within their unique narratives.
