Marcelle Giovannetti

Marcelle Giovannetti, a highly accomplished licensed professional counselor, holds a pivotal role as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Graduate Counseling Program at Messiah University. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she operates Courageous Hope Counseling LLC, where she applies her expertise as a part-time clinician. An immigrant woman of Indian descent, Marcelle brings a rich cultural perspective shaped by her experiences living in several countries. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision at Shippensburg University in PA. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Elizabethtown College, a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University, and a postgraduate certificate in Social Justice from Harvard University. Marcelle specializes in substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, trauma, and multicultural counseling. Her credentials include Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor (CADC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified EMDR therapist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Marcelle believes that reaching out for help is an act of courage and the first step toward finding hope, even in challenging circumstances. She views counseling as a collaborative journey, where she partners with clients to help them achieve their desired outcomes.
