In Service of Seniors, based in McKeesport, PA, is dedicated to enhancing the independence and quality of life for older adults in Allegheny County through compassionate, volunteer-driven support services. Our mission emphasizes practical assistance, including grocery shopping help, food pantry delivery, and reliable transportation for medical appointments. We also offer friendly visits, mail reading assistance, and home safety inspections to identify and mitigate risks like fire hazards or tripping dangers. To ensure the best possible support, we require beneficiaries to fill out a screening form. While our volunteers are committed to providing crucial services, please note they are not able to assist with household cleaning, money management, meal preparation, personal care, pet care, or moving tasks. Our goal is to create a warm and supportive environment that empowers seniors to thrive in their homes, even amidst the challenges posed by COVID-19.
